Drake Debuts “Too Much” On Jimmy Fallon

Drake premiered a brand new track called “Too Much” tonight on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. To perform the song, Drake was accompanied by Sampha, and the two worked in tandem. Drake gets extremely personal over the stripped down yet powerful piano-driven beat. Sampha handles the keys in this live rendition; he also sings the song’s hook. Drake addresses the fact that the fame he has achieved through the music business has made him grow distant from friends and family whom he was close with before.

“Too Much” is song 12 off of Drake’s upcoming release, Nothing Was The Same. The Toronto native’s third studio album will be finally released September 24. Drake’s performance tonight comes one day after the release of the much-talked about “Wu-Tang Forever,” his homage to the legendary New York City rap group. Sampha was previously featured on “The Motion,” which came out back in June.
