Clipping.’s fantastic Sub Pop Records debut is full of vivid lyricism and innovative instrumentals, so it only makes sense that their visuals are just as inventive. The video for the the L.A.-based trio’s “Inside Out” acts as a quasi-sequel to their formidable “Work Work” video, which was also directed by Carlos Lopez Estrada. The surreal video spins slowly, as a headless Daveed Diggs’ ejects items as effortlessly as he does words.
It’s a smart way to place focus on the song’s lyrical content without making it too obvious, and once again shows that Clipping. put considerable amounts of care into everything they do.
